TRAIN THE NEXT GENERATION OF SUPERHEROES

Kids 4 CPR is a nearly 100% volunteer run nonprofit. We rely heavily on volunteers and community partners to reach our goal of improving the cardiac arrest survival rate in Hawaii.

Kids 4 CPR would love to have you assist with our Kids Teaching Kids trainings. These trainings are led by Kids 4 CPR instructors, run in an assembly style format, for anywhere from 50 to 250 students. We like to have four to six volunteers per 100 students. Volunteers would be asked to assist with the hands-on portions of the class and help students with CPR technique and AED use. Volunteers can become Kids 4 CPR instructors if they are interested. Kids 4 CPR will provide appropriate training to those interested in becoming volunteers and/or instructors.

We welcome individuals and groups to volunteer with us. Keep in mind that our target audience is students in school, classes are typically between the hours of 8am and 3pm, Monday through Friday. Occasionally we have classes outside of school hours. We offer classes on all islands; when you submit the volunteer sign-up form you will be able to specify your location preference, (i.e. Windward, Oahu; Kailua-Kona, Big Island; etc).

If CPR and AED use is not part of your day to day activities, you have not recently taken a class (< 2 years), or have never taken a class we encourage you to sign up for one of the AED Institute’s FREE CPR/AED certification classes at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. The AED Institute of America is our primary supporter and sponsor. Even if you have recently taken a class, refresher courses are crucial to building muscle memory so that you can act without hesitation.

For information on FREE CPR/AED certification classes on the outer islands, email info@aedinstitute.com

We welcome groups large and small to assist with our Kids Teaching Kids trainings. 'Groups' can include corporate volunteer teams, members of a service organization, and mature youth groups (i.e. scouting troops, ROTC, etc). Interested groups may email diana@kids4cpr.org. We like to have 4-6 volunteers per 100 students, if you have a larger group it is possible to split up volunteers and assist with multiple classes.
